The list of suitors for class of 2017 four-star wing Galen Alexander is currently a lengthy one. However, he's hoping to narrow it down to something a little more manageable within the next month or so.

June, though, is about developing and working and working on game and that's what the six-foot-six small forward from Lafayette (La.) Christian has been doing. He had the opportunity to learn from NBA players at the NBPA Top 100 Camp and he took advantage of it.

"We did a lot of work on creating shots and opening up space," said Alexander. "I was able to go ahead and use them in some games so that was cool."

Athletic, tough and a big time finisher at the rim, Alexander has offers from programs like Arkansas, Arizona, LSU, N.C. State, Texas, Texas A&M, Marquette, California, TCU, UCLA and Oklahoma State among others. So far he's seen two campuses unofficially and has two that he knows he'll take official visits to.

"The only two schools that I've visited so far are TCU and LSU," said Alexander. "I plan on taking an official to Arizona and Marquette. I don't have dates on them yet but those are two schools that I'm for sure going to visit."

Since he plays for Dallas based RM5 in the summer, Alexander is in the area often so a jaunt over to Ft. Worth wasn't too hard. Also, the Horned Frogs have a coach he's very familiar with.

"I like (assistant) coach David Patrick," said Alexander. "He's been recruiting me since he was at LSU so we have a real good relationship. It was great going and checking out the campus."

As for LSU, they are home and will always have a part of his heart.

"Johnny Jones, me and him are real close," said Alexander. "They were one of the first schools to start recruiting me and we have a real great relationship. It's right down the street for me and it is always every kid's dream to play down the street so they have a place in my heart."

The next few weeks will be spent getting in some individual work and preparing his body for the important month of July with three open periods for college coaches. After that, Alexander will be ready to form a more concrete list.

"I'm probably going to be cutting my list down after Peach Jam or after Vegas," said Alexander. "I think I'm going to cut down to probably five or eight schools."
