It's already been a busy spring for potential Rivals150 shooting guard Khalil Garland. The month of June is about to get even busier.

A 6-foot-4 junior at Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview, Garland had made an early commitment to Memphis. However, when Josh Pastner made the move to Georgia Tech the smooth and strong wing scorer elected to open his recruitment back up.

Since opening things up, Garland has had a very successful run in Nike's EYBL with Team Penny and he's racked up scholarship offers from Memphis, Georgia Tech, LSU, Oregon, Alabama, Texas A&M, Arkansas Little Rock and Arkansas.

IN HIS OWN WORDS...

Since his decommitment from Memphis and the hiring of Tubby Smith, Garland has been to campus to visit with Smith. He talked about that and his new approach and game.

"I think the visit with Tubby Smith went well and I still like Memphis. He wanted me to know that I'm still wanted there and that I'm still one of their guys."

"I'm just taking a step back away from things. I want to be sure that I look at all of my options and make a good choice."

"I feel that I'm a two guard with good size. I can play some at the point if needed but I'm fine with being recruited as a two and that's my best position."

WHAT'S NEXT?

When Garland says that he plans to look around and explore his options he isn't kidding. He's got a busy month of unofficial visits planned for June.

Garland told Rivals.com that he plans to try and hit Arkansas, LSU, Oregon and Alabama for unofficial visits. After that, he's looking to play out the summer and then look to cut his list and set official visits for the Fall in hopes of making a decision before the early signing period.

RIVALS' REACTION

Garland's stock is on the rise and for good reason. He plays with physicality, has a nice array of scoring moves off the dribble and most of all he is able to score while being efficient. He's a strong defender and will be ready for the new level of physicality he will see in college.

With Oregon as the only true regional outlier in his recruitment, it is looking like Garland will stay in the Southeast unless the Ducks can really blow him away during his unofficial visit.
