Five-star point guard Trae Young had an incredible Peach Jam, leading MoKan Elite to a championship and earning Rivals.com's MVP for the first July live period. Young leads a loaded list of 12 that made our All-First Live Period Team.

MVP- TRAE YOUNG

Recruiting wrap: Kansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma appear to be moving ahead of a group that includes Oklahoma State, Texas, Washington and others.

Performance: A five-star prospect who ranks No. 14 overall in the class of 2017, Trae Young was electric at the Peach Jam. He shot over 50 percent from the field while averaging 27 points and 7.3 assists as he led MoKan Elite to an 8-0 record and the title at the most competitive tournament in grassroots basketball.

Recruiting wrap: Committed to Virginia Tech.

Performance: Ranked No. 52 overall in the class of 2017, Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the Under Armour All-America Camp in scoring and looked fantastic doing so. At 6-foot-5, he's a smooth shooting guard with deep range on his jumper and he's shown enough ability off the dribble that he can play some point guard in a pinch.

MAKAI ASHTON-LANGFORD

Recruiting wrap: Connecticut, Louisville and Providence lead for his services.

Performance: Ranked No. 40 overall in the class of 2017, Makai Ashton-Langford led the Mass Rivals to a title at the Adidas Gauntlet Finale. Tough and strong with 6-foot-3 size, Ashton-Langford controlled the tempo all weekend long and came up with big buckets whenever needed.

DEANDRE AYTON

Recruiting wrap: Bluebloods Arizona, Kansas and Kentucky lead for Ayton.

Performance: The No. 1 ranked player in the class of 2017, DeAndre Ayton was the most dominant big man at the Nike Peach Jam and led California Supreme to the semifinals. The seven-footer averaged 21.6 points and 12.8 rebounds per game and came out the victor in games against five-star big men Wendell Carter, Mitchell Robinson andMarvin Bagley.

MARVIN BAGLEY

Recruiting wrap: Arizona, Arizona State, Duke, Kentucky, Oregon and UCLA make up Bagley's top six.

Performance: Before being knocked out a little early with a minor shoulder injury, 2018's No. 1 player Marvin Bagley was nothing short of sensational. He finished the Peach Jam averaging 18.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game and did so with a blend of athleticism and skill far beyond his years. Bagley has legitimate star potential at the highest level.

BRIAN BOWEN

Recruiting wrap: Michigan State is believed to be leading Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas,Illinois and UCLA.

Performance: Playing some of his best basketball of the summer, 6-foot-7 small forward Brian Bowen helped to lead his Meanstreets team to the quarterfinals of Nike's Peach Jam. Ranked No. 18 overall in the class of 2017, Bowen got to the rim, forced his way to the free throw line and made good on mid range opportunities.

VERNON CAREY

Recruiting wrap: Miami, Florida and Baylor are among the programs who have made early offers.

Performance: By leading Nike Team Florida to a 15U Championship at the Peach Jam, 6-foot-9 Vernon Carey looked like a surefire five-star and perhaps top 10 prospect in the class of 2019. He showed legitimate three-point range, blocked shots and crashed the offensive glass.

QUADE GREEN

Recruiting wrap: Quade Green visited Duke and Kentucky at the end of June and though he's not yet cut his list, they look to be pulling out front.

Performance: Had Green been able to lead the PSA Cardinals to victory over MoKan Elite in the Peach Jam title game, then he likely would have been the MVP of the first live period. Nevertheless, 2017's No. 25 ranked player and five-star point guard made one tough shot after another, led his teammates vocally and willed his team to the finals.

MICHAEL PORTER

Recruiting wrap: Washington (where his father is an assistant), Oklahoma, Virginia,Indiana and Missouri make up his final five with the Huskies looming as the favorite.

Performance: The No. 2 overall player in the class of 2017, Micheal Porter is going to at least challenge the previously mentioned DeAndre Ayton for the top spot. After averaging 27.1 points and 11.3 rebounds during MoKan Elite's run to the Peach Jam title, Porter probably has as much of a claim to the first live period's MVP award as does his teammate Trae Young.

Recruiting wrap: Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Mississippiand Mississippi State (where his father played) have all offered.

Performance: A 6-foot-8 power forward who recently entered the 2018 rankings at No. 73, Reggie Perry far outplayed his current ranking. Perry was a force on the glass, scored at will and helped his Arkansas Hawks squad to the semifinals of the 16U division of the Adidas Gauntlet Finale.

Recruiting wrap: Committed to Western Kentucky.

Performance: A five-star prospect who ranks No. 11 overall in 2017, near seven-footerMitchell Robinson's Pro Skills Elite squad didn't get any wins at the Peach Jam. However, the athletic center was even better than expected averaging over 17 points, nearly eight rebounds and 4.6 blocks per game. He's a rocket off the floor, swats shots with either hand and shows more offense each time out.

Recruiting wrap: Arizona, Indiana, Maryland, Ohio State, UCLA and Xavier are among his offers.

Performance: The second leading scorer at Under Armour All-America camp, 6-foot-7 wing Kris Wilkes showed a well rounded game. Ranked No. 17 overall in the class of 2017, Wilkes pounded the glass, ran the floor, hit mid range jumpers and showed more creativity off the dribble than in the past.
